Quick Guides on Arizona's Propositions 2018 Elections
Here's what you need to know about Arizona's Propositions
Elections are around the corner and important propositions will be on the ballot this year, it is important that we are educated and informed on what our vote of yes or no mean for each one of these, as these propositions might have a direct impact on our daily lives.
However, we are all busy and trying to juggle multiple hats and roles at the same time and doing our own research on these issues might not always be at the top of our priority list.
But don't stress out! we are sharing with you a great report and resource put together by the ASU Morrison Institute for Public Policy where they share a quick snapshot packed with all the relevant information we might need to make an informed decision. These are independent and nonpartisan assessments based on relevant documents and views expressed by subject-matter specialists and those who support and oppose particular measures.
Here is the break down:
Four propositions call for amendments to the Arizona Constitution.
Two propositions were placed on the ballot by the Legislature
Two others through the initiative process
One via a signature-gathering campaign challenging legislation passed by the Legislature and signed into law by the governor.
Feel free to share with your networks. The more informed we are when voting, the better!
Proposition 125: State Retirement Plans
Proposition 126: Taxes on Services
Proposition 127: Renewable Energy
Proposition 305: ESA Program Expansion
Proposition 306: Clean Elections Commission
Thank you to the ASU Morrison Institute for informing voters!
